What’s up with your blog name?

Well, first came Caroline. Then 2 1/2 years later Henry happened . . . and my life turned upside down. I traded in my six-figure salary and a closet full of suits to become a stay-at-home mom. Along with the crazy happenings of having two kiddos (now 3!), I started to realize there was more to me than just work deadlines and sales figures.

Who I am…

I’m a mother of three – Caroline is 5, Henry is 2 and Samuel was born May 30. I’m a writer, thrift store addict and aspiring pretty mommy.

Why I blog…

This site has become my place to play – my playground for staying curious and always learning. I’ve tried lots of different hobbies (knitting, exercise, having chickens) but this is the only one that’s lasted. I think it’s because it’s perfect for my short attention span! So I hope you enjoy reading as I learn in my new role as stay-at-home mom and share tips, tricks and aspirations.

My mission is to help moms find their fashion and beauty sweet spot. To be comfortable in their own skin and stop comparing and second-guessing themselves. You’ll find affordable trends, easy DIYs, personal advice. I share the stylish and crafty adventures of a pretty mommy on a budget.

Plus, I love learning from other smart, successful women ~ they are my inspiration for creating a life filled with confidence, passion & authenticity. So I’ll be featuring lots of other moms to learn their secrets – how they stay looking good, keep organized, and juggle it all.

Among other things, I obsess over black & white stripes, Gwyneth Paltrow, what other people are wearing, the color lavender, Martha Stewart’s magazine, and always having a good book.
